Not sure if this was posted here before, but who in their right mind would take an E30 M3, with a the legendary S14, and think you know what this needs a 2JZ. Dont get me wrong I like the 2JZ but in the right car. And more over an automatic?? oh the hu///Manity!!

**EDIT: been pointed out that it is actually a 325i with an M3 body. But I still maintain why? when you have S14,S52,S54..

If it makes you feel better it was never an M3, it was a 325i that was converted. So I approve, I would probably drop a s52 or something to keep it in the family myself and skip the body mods.

Yeah I missed that, think I saw the images and dint bother to read what was underneath.. but even then, s52 would be better..

Yeah, but with that motor in it properly tuned would go like hell. The biggest knocks against it I see are the auto trans, and the stock diff that I think is not a LSD. Everything else looks pretty well done though and at 10 g's not a bad price either.

Yeah its well made, Im more for brand purity I guess.. agreed that auto trans and LSDs definitely need to go out. 450bhp is not too bad either..

I think the logic was probably along the lines of:

A) Far more aftermarket support for a 2JZ.
B) More power potential for a lot less money.
C) Better matching transmission.

It obviously wasn't intended to be a full on race car because they chose some really heavy parts and left some really crappy OEM parts.
